Mike Lever
Mike has taken his successful therapy practice, which was established in 1994, much further in recent years, through looking into the art, science, and study of Real Yoga. This has given him a real edge as a fully trained Advanced ‘Living Yoga teacher‘.
In this 40 minute session, opening the International Yoga Day, Mike will introduce you to your 5 Bodies, which when aligned, create your Health.

Dr Indika Gunaratne
A lifelong lover of dance, she has trained and competed in Latin American styles, giving her a deep, embodied understanding of the interplay between music, movement, and emotion.

Ankit Kumar
Ankit began his yoga journey in India, where he completed a Master’s degree in Yoga, specialising in traditional Hatha Yoga and philosophy. He went on to train at the Himalayan Iyengar Yoga Centre under the guidance of Sharat, a direct student of B.K.S. Iyengar. Sharat’s unique integration of footwork and precise alignment has had a lasting influence on Ankit’s teaching style. Ankit’s approach weaves together dynamic and static practices, emphasising mindful movement, conscious breath, and inner awareness. His teaching aims to make yoga accessible to everyone, honouring its spiritual depth while embracing a modern, holistic understanding of wellbeing.

Zoe Porter
I am a free spirit with a love for body art and spiritualism. In my classes you can expect a heady, vigorous Yoga practice free of the dogma, coupled with soft, beautiful chanting and blissful breathwork. Join me on the mat and feel the magic flood your mind during relaxation afterwards!

Rachel Lovegrove
With over 30 years of experience, Rachel Lovegrove is a highly respected Senior Level 3 Iyengar yoga teacher and mentor. She is renowned for her pragmatic, open, and supportive teaching style, which encourages students from all backgrounds to realise their full potential through the transformative power of yoga.

Gauri
Kuchelavritham is one of the most beloved stories in the Kathakali repertoire, drawn from the Mahabharata. It narrates the moving tale of friendship and devotion between Lord Krishna and His childhood companion Kuchela (Sudama). When the impoverished Kuchela visits Krishna at Dwaraka with a humble offering of rice flakes, the Lord receives him with immense love and honour, transforming his poverty into prosperity through divine grace.

Ananya
The Varnam ( Mohiniyattam) tells the story of Poothana, a complex character driven by a deep-seated desire for motherhood. In her past life as Ratnamala (sister of King Bali), she experienced a strong maternal instinct towards Vamanadeva, which was fulfilled in her next incarnation as Poothana with baby Krishna. However, Poothana's intentions were tainted by deceit, and she attempted to harm Krishna with poisoned milk. Despite her malicious intentions, Krishna saw through her plot and granted her the ultimate gift of Moksha, liberating her soul and allowing her to experience the motherly connection she so desperately sought.
